North of Corfu Town is Sidari with an amazing long sandy beach, a nice shopping center, restaurants, taverns, bars and a water park. At the far left of the beach, you will stumble across the Canal D’ amour. It is known as channel of love.
Located south west of Corfu, Chalikounas beach belong to a natural area separated from the lake Korission. It’s a long stretch of coastline with golden sand and shallow waters. It’s not organized and it can be quite windy, that’s why a lot of surfers prefer it. Don’t forget to bring your own umbrella.
Glyfada is one of the most popular beaches in Corfu. It’s fully organized, with umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, nice beach bars, lifeguards on duty, water sports facilities and locker rooms. It’s ideal for families, cause the waters are shallow and crystal clear.
Avlaki beach is situated on the north east coast of Corfu. It’s a nice sandy beach with small pebbles and crystal waters ideal for those who wish a serene stay. Good taverns are by the beach and can be a refreshing haven during the hot hours of the day.
Barbati beach is one of the most popular beaches on Corfu island, due to its proximity to Corfu Town but is also known for the beautiful colour of its waters and the small pebbles. It has plenty of beach bars and restaurants.
